Norwegian folk song in choir

In the course on “folk song in choir” you will get a general insight and introduction to some different folk song traditions in Norway, as well as styles linked to them. Through learning a selection of folk songs, and some simple improvisation exercises, we will explore the use of voice, style, tonality and ornamentation techniques often heard in various folk song traditions in Norway. Based on this, we work with some selected choral arrangements of folk songs.
